Music Declares Emergency is the music industry’s grassroots response to the climate crisis. They needed some help amping up their communications and bringing vibrancy, urgency and consistency to their platforms.

Riffing off the movement’s slogan “No music on a dead planet” the identity is centred around an infinitely variable set of ‘planets’, containing visual references to the natural and musical worlds, and reflecting the Music Declares Emergency logo.

OUTPUT

Colours that pop, visuals that rock.

The brand contrasts poppy colours that reflect the vibrancy and rebelliousness of the music world, creating a distinctive look and feel that can appeal to artists and music-lovers alike.

With an easy-to-use kit of parts and templates, MDE can use the identity to communicate on a spectrum from urgent to excited, from minimal techno to pop-punk, from serious to playful.
